How Fonleader ships wholesale footwear orders: express, air and sea routes, freight calculation, production windows and customs.

How we ship

Every order leaves our factory in China through one of three routes, agreed with you before production starts:

  • Express, door to door — DHL, FedEx or UPS for samples and small wholesale orders. You get the tracking number as soon as the parcel is collected.
  • Air freight — for mid-size orders where express stops making sense on cost.
  • Sea freight — LCL or FCL for mass production. Lowest cost per pair, longest transit.

If you already work with a forwarder in China, we deliver to their warehouse at no extra charge and send them the packing list.

What shipping costs

Freight is quoted separately from the product price, because it depends on the destination country, the total weight and volume, and the route you choose. We quote freight against your actual order, so you see it as its own line before you pay — not folded into the unit price.

Quoted freight does not include import duties, taxes or customs clearance fees charged by your country. Those are paid by the receiver.

Production and delivery windows

  • Stock styles: 2 to 15 days before dispatch.
  • Mass production: about 45 days from deposit and artwork approval.
  • Available samples: dispatched within 3 days.
  • Newly developed samples: about 7 to 10 days.

Transit time starts when the goods are dispatched, not when you pay. Your quotation states the production window for your order and the estimated transit time for your destination, and we confirm both in writing before the deposit.

Tracking and documents

When the goods leave we email the tracking number together with the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Sea freight also comes with the bill of lading.

Delays

August to October, ahead of the northern-hemisphere holiday season, and the Chinese New Year period are the two windows where both production and transit run longer. If your dates fall inside one of them we say so at quotation stage rather than after the order is placed.
